Elegoo
Elegoo gets my vote for affordability and high-grade products that are straightforward to use. Fantastic for beginners and veterans alike.
Prusa
Prusa has a reputation for high-quality FDM products that print among the broadest range of materials. Prusa 3D printers boast a fair few ease-of-use features over other FDMs, however, their price tag is often on the deep-end.
Creality (Comgrow)
My go-to for simple, affordable FDMs that can be upgraded, although they also produce resin 3D printers. The Ender 3 in particular stands out as having possibly the largest FDM community behind it – not necessarily for being the greatest FDM of all time, but rather for rating among one of the best value for money for beginners and pros alike.
Anycubic
Anycubic 3D printers themselves produce high-quality results and come with some unique features at a great price point. However, always pay attention to the reviews, as Anycubic’s customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
Flashforge
With an emphasis on professional grade versatility, user-friendly features like Wi-Fi Cloud Printing and user-safety, Flashforge comes recommended for institutions such as schools, universities or libraries, dental practices and other professional industries, as well as home consumers from beginner to advanced.
Bambu Lab
There’s been some talk about privacy concerns with Bambu. I won’t get into it, but if you can look past that, these honestly are some of the most plug and play FDMs on the market. With a high price point to match.
